Earth Temperature Sensors added to duanesworld.net

04/01/08 | by Duane [mail] | Categories: Announcements, Geothermal HVAC Projects

A web page with meters and charts of earth temperature’s is now available at www.duanesworld.net

On this page you will find meters showing the real time temperature of the earth at depths from one foot to eleven feet. Sensors were placed at one foot intervals.

As well as the temperature meters you will also find links to charts showing the earth temperatures for the previous one hour, twenty-four hours, seven days, and thirty-one days. Soon to be added are charts showing the previous one years data.

The data is broken into three different charts. The first one shows depth one to three feet. This was done since in this location these depth temperatures fluxuate the most. The next two charts show temperatures at depths of four through seven feet and eight through eleven feet.

You can see the sensor construction, plans, and problems on the Notebook Blog at www.duanesworld.net.

Geothermal HVAC Heat Pump Manufacturers have been added to the equipment page at thegeoconnection.com. This addition increases the value of thegeoconnection.com as a resource for promoting the installation of Geothermal HVAC systems.

The web site was created for the purpose of promoting the installation of Geothermal HVAC in buildings with less than 10,000 square feet in size.

thegeoconnection.com is creating lists or directories to include many resources for researching Geothermal HVAC and providing a large resource of Geothermal HVAC equipment manufacturers.

One goal of thegeoconnection.com is to provide an area for owners of Geothermal HVAC systems to showcase their installations for others to use in getting ideas and provide resources to assist in the purchasing process.

Take a look at this site for a Geothermal HVAC installation in a home of 1000 square feet ( www.duanesworld.net ). Follow the Geothermal HVAC links on the page or click on the title of this Blog Entry.

This site contains pictures of the complete installation process, listing of components, key learnings, and other notes. There is also a Blog called the Notebook ( www.duanesworld.net/notebook ) which contains further information and issues with the installation and operation of the Geothermal HVAC system.

There are data charts showing past energy usage as well as current energy usage. The Real Time Data page shows the current system in operation. This page tracks the amount of electricity used during the systems operation and also temperatures of the systems component freon, ground loops, water, and air.

The purpose of thegeoconnection.com ( www.thegeoconnection.com ) is to promote the installation of Geothermal HVAC systems, primarily in smaller applications. Most Geothermal HVAC applications are in homes and buildings larger than 10,000 square feet.

Geothermal HVAC applications are suitable for smaller homes as well. There is not a lot of information on the internet about these smaller applications. We would like to increase the publics knowledge of this type of HVAC alternative.

We are open to assisting with web pages to show installations as well as charting and monitoring of the Geothermal HVAC systems. If you are interested in showcasing your installation or future installation please contact us. We can help from start to finish.
